Went to atm that charges no fees. Withdrew $500.00 cash- DIDNt DISPENSE (door wouldnt open.
Have me a receipt that I had withdrew $500.00 from my account even checked my balance before and after like I always do. They told me in the bank that they could send the proof to my bank just had to dispute it. So I did. They said 7-10 business days.
I told them they literally have the proof now and are ready to send you the money back and the footage proving my case. They wouldnt speak to them. I called after 5 days bc my insurance claim deductible was due-PAST DUE NOW( would charge late fees daily as it isnt paid. I informed them everyday even the bank I went to tried more on my behalf to get it back to my account they wouldnt even take their call.
Customer service hung up on them when they said we just want to solve this for him so hes not out of pocket anymore. Fast forward 10 business days called back bc got no response like I knew would happen. They said oh, now if your account is eligible you will get a $500 credit while we look into this for 45 days now. 45 DAYS!?!?!?!
THEY LITERALLY HAVE PROOF AND HAVE BEEN READY TO FIX THIS AND CUSTOMER SERVICE DISPUTE CENTER STILL HASNT EVEN SENT THE FIRST EMAIL, CALL, TEXT, TELEGRAM, nothing THEY HAVE DONE NOTHING TO START THE DISPUTE AND GET MY MONEY BACK TO ME. AS OF TODAY NO $500.00 CREDIT OR RETURN OF MY MONEY.

7th AND FINAL- THE BANK HAS LITERAL PROOF, THEY DID THEIR JOB FOR THEM ALL THEY HAVE TO DO IS CALL AND GET THE FUNDS BACK BUT THEY REFUSE. I EVEN TRIED ON 3-WAY CALLING WITH BOTH BANKS THEY HUNG UP!!u!

Then I called again and then it was 15 days now I'm being told 30 days. I talked to a supervisor and he didn't even know the answer.
He had to go talk to his other representativesthat he was the head of the day that I talked to him. Cause he didn't even know the answer.
I'm not getting any answers.All I'm getting told is 10 days 8 days, 15 days now.It's 30 days.I'm being told.I need that money released and put back into my account.These transactions have already been completed and they've been completed for over twenty days !!! Useless customer service
I was trying to use their card that I hardly use because of their incompetence. I credited few dollars on it for a merchant Subscription thats urgent for a project.
The card got declined and I called their benefit center, the first guy *Nathan* was telling me to go use my card else where lol. Then. I requested for a manager. He then.
Transferred me to a supervisor with no single empathy/ apology. OFS got the call *Elijah* he said the issue might be security issue without providing a way forward if I needed additional verification. He also insisted to go subscribe to another merchant
I was like dude, this is the only merchant my project is running onThe.
I asked for a manager, of course he denied me of speaking to a manager..he then started quoting a small dollar I have in my account lol. I know their might be several Nathan and Elijah but they are both Indians just for your internal reference if you will ever teach them empathy

I did nothing wrong and they refused to use the money I put on my card to pay for something I ordered. Then they told me that my account was locked permanently, not allowing me to retrieve my money from the account.
I have spoken to several customer service representatives; they say I had to write a letter. I wrote the letter and am now told to write another letter with all the same information in it again.
They still won't give me my money back. This is theft.

Bogus charges
I have had this card for at least a decade without incident. But now they make bogus charges on the card and then hold the money for 30 days.
I will be closing the account. They are shiftless and deceiving.
I tried to make a purchase, it was denied as I did not have enough money in the account. I adjusted my cart to what was within the account. Bluebird put all my funds on hold status stating that the vendor put the funds on hold.
They did not let the adjusted charge go through. I called the vendor, in response the vendor contacted them letting them know there were no charges or holds from them. Bluebird said there is nothing to be done the funds will be held for 30 days.
This is the third time they did something like this. I stayed at a Wyndham resort, all room fees, deposits and incidentals were settled at check out.
All deposits were released and received. Bluebird held an amount that was not charged by the hotel for 30 days. The hotel management contacted them stating there was no charge made by them in the amount that was being held, and it was not their request. Bluebird held it anyway.
Bluebird makes an extra charge for a bogus amount in addition to legitimate charges. Legitimate charges clear, but the bogus charge funds are held for a month.
The vendors do not have any holds on the account or transactions corresponding to the amounts and therefore cannot release the holds or transactions.
They will give you the run around stating if vendors contact Bluebird the funds can be released, but since there are no transactions for the amounts on hold that cannot be done. What a scam.

Indian Call Center Agents for Bluebird Cards
1. You can only call customer support; there's no online chat or email.
2. Calling customer support only connects you to an Indian support agent who reads from a script and cannot deviate from it because it would require too much mental effort.
3. I called because we haven't received the Bluebird card.
4. The support agent won't do anything unless the person on the card, my autistic daughter, is right next to me. Still, she resides in a group home far away. I suggested a three-way call. However, the agent refused, insisting she has to be 'there'.
5. So now, I have to wait until I can drive over an hour to where she lives so that the support agent can 'talk' to my autistic daughter, for whom we ordered this card and still haven't received it.
6. The thing is that the call center requires me to enter not only her card number or her SSN but also her PIN in order to talk to someone. So, if I were out to steal information, I would already have it. So why in the world do they need to talk to her? Fine, talk to her. However, I still consider these Indian call center agents to be ignorant.
7. All I want to do is find out whether the card has been mailed because it will be delivered to my address, not hers. I will be the one to give it to her staff to help her use it when she goes shopping.
8. I don't have this problem with her Bank of America card, which holds most of her money. This Bluebird card is intended for small purchases only and serves as a way to control how much she can spend.

Horrible, horrible customer service. One month out, going on my second month now, and still waiting for my replacement card which should have arrived in "7-10 days." I've called since then (mid-April it is now mid-May) about seven times, the first few with no customer service link, automated line asking for the card number of the card I've yet to receive.
Then, almost magically, I start getting channeled to an actual human being. Each time I get the "I'm so sorry," tag line, (Rule: Be empathetic to the customer), the verification process, the exaggerated hold time, then the update process, "for sure this time," and then (drum roll please), "your card will arrive in 7-10 days-and then it never shows up. All by working with someone who speaks broken English and refuses to disclose their location. So, if you lose your card you're pretty well screwed.
Fortunately I was able to remove my funds, some folks have had theirs frozen! So caveat emptor.

They are pure evil.
I suggest filing a Consumer Finance Protection Bureau Complaint. They have to respond.

When I got this card many many years ago, I got it because it was free to load any amount as needed on the card at Walmart. Then, about five years ago, they changed it to a twenty-dollar minimum to load with no fee, which kinda sucked but was still doable.
Then, in the last three years, they changed it to a minimum of twenty dollars with a loading fee of $3.74, which is beyond ridiculous. This is especially true when Bluebird continues to advertise no loading fees.

April 5, 2024, I made a Bluebird prepaid payment of 39.20 to Verizon. A week later, my account shows it is pending, and that it was not paid to them and not refunded to my account.
After that, my account has no record of that. I complained & was given a case number & was told they would call me. I did not get a call. I called several times & was told there was no record of that.
To talk to Bluebird, press 0.
My plan is to inform you all of this so it may not occur to you. Also, make a complaint to the consumer financial protection bureau (gov't agency).

Worst customer service. I got a new phone number and email and have no access to both. I can't get on app, so called customer service to change both. Gave them my name, security questions, my social security # and address.
Was told they can't change it because I don't have a number under my social # to verify. I'm on a family plan that's not under my name,they told me I had to go change the phone account in my name. Like what more info do you possibly need to be verified? WHY ALL THIS HASSEL FOR A PREPAID CARD.
Not even regular credit card companies require all this. I'm sure the customer rep Mihir transfered me to a "supervisor" named Kud.
It sure sounded like it was the same room. BEWARE

Customer Service Couldn’t be Worse
I have spoken with Bluebird customer service reps, I assume from India, no fewer than 8 times, in my first month, and for hours. At no point have I been given any actual information about why I cant see my money, transfers, ACH numbers, etc, although supposedlymy calls have been escalated.
My calls have been dropped, and at certain points, I thought I was losing my mind. My normal bank assured me I was completely sane in my concerns with Bluebird. Their stock customer service answer is to wait, and eventually things will be okay. They havent been.
Their app is useless as well.
I will be filing a federal complaint against Bluebird, and have immediately closed my account. Do not fall down this nightmare too.
